For over 35 years, Pastors Troy and Leanna Brewer have faithfully served the homeless community from the same parking lot in Fort Worth, Texas. One of their very first dates took place here. Pastor Leanna handed out sandwiches and prayed for people while Pastor Troy led worship from the back of his pickup truck. Present day, they have led their congregation, OpenDoor Church, to remain faithful to get outside the four walls of the church to be the hands and feet of King Jesus.
Our goal is to seek heart-to-heart connections with the homeless and needy of our city. We want each and every one of these friends to know that they are recognized and appreciated – that they have not been forgotten.
