food outreach

opendoor foodbank provides food and hope to families in need through our monthly outreaches.

OpenDoor Church was born breach. Pastors Troy and Leanna Brewer began their ministry together by promising to feed a community of elderly who were hungry. The following weekend, more than 70 people had gathered to be fed. Thus, the food bank was born, and soon after, OpenDoor Church! Now a worldwide ministry, OpenDoor Food Bank is thriving and helping people in need. It is our great privilege to continue the legacy of demonstrating the goodness of God by feeding those who hunger and giving something to drink to those who thirst.

We provide both perishable and non-perishable food items to ANYONE in need of help – no strings attached. There is no regard to race, religion, age, social or financial status. We are here to help because it is our privilege to give.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink…” Matthew 25:35

Come out and be a part of demonstrating the heart of Jesus at one of our once a month events at the Joshua or Walnut Springs outreaches as well as our Houston campus. We can’t wait to see you there!

Come alone or bring someone with you. Partner with us to reach a hurting world with the love of Jesus. The volunteers need to arrive around 7:00-7:30 AM to help prepare. The line closes at 10:00 AM, but depending on how many people, we may not finish handing out food until 11:30 AM. You can also stay to help clean up.
Volunteers can pull into the north gate to park.
If you are interested in serving, we have a place for you!
